Summary
Harris Computer is seeking a Technical Consultant to join their team remotely in North America. The role involves gathering requirements, deploying applications, and providing implementation support and training.
About the Role
As a Technical Consultant, you will interact with customers, development teams, and third-party software vendors to gather and document requirements. You will design and implement solutions using SmartWork’s application suite, integrate it with third-party software, and provide training and support to customers. The role requires travel throughout North America approximately 30% of the year.
About You
Required:
- College diploma or University degree in a related technical field (e.g., Electric or Computer engineering, Computer Science).
- Strong grasp of SQL and one or more Enterprise Database Software such as SQL Server, Oracle.
- Comfortable working in Linux and Windows.
- Ability to travel in North America up to 30% of the time.
- Previous experience in the Utilities industry.
Preferred:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in software implementation.
- Strong working knowledge of object-oriented design (C/C++ or Java).
- Previous experience in training customers and writing technical documents.
