About the Role
As a Crew Leader Maintenance, you will supervise a crew, provide technical guidance, and perform skilled equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and manual labor tasks to maintain Virginia's roadways. Your responsibilities will include effective communication with stakeholders, emergency operations management, equipment operation, job safety enforcement, leadership in maintenance planning, and traffic control device management.
About You
Required:
- Ability to obtain CDL and DOT medical card within 11 months of employment and maintain thereafter.
- Considerable knowledge of highway maintenance and construction practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor and use hand and power tools.
Preferred:
- Experience in roadway maintenance activities.
- Basic Tree Cutting & Chainsaw Operator certification.
- CPR with AED, Standard First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP) Combined Course.
