Summary

MHA (Mental Health Association) is seeking a 1st Shift Direct Care Specialist to join their team in Ludlow, MA. The role involves providing a supportive and safe environment for individuals with acquired brain injuries, promoting their growth, independence, and community engagement.

About the Role

As a Residential Support Specialist, you will engage with participants to promote self-esteem and personal growth, assist with daily living tasks, support access to community resources, teach self-advocacy skills, provide financial support, monitor health and well-being, maintain documentation, promote safety, and participate in team collaboration.

About You

Required:

Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle during working hours.
High school diploma or GED required; college degree in human services or a related field preferred.
Minimum of six months of relevant experience.

Preferred:

Experience with individuals with brain injuries, mental health challenges, or developmental disabilities.
Ability to pass and maintain certifications in medication administration (MAP), CPR, and First Aid.
