About the Role
As a Crew Leader, you will supervise and manage a team of youth during conservation projects, ensuring their safety and facilitating their personal development. You will lead environmental education lessons, manage project logistics, and handle administrative tasks related to the crew's activities. The position requires participation in pre-program training and involves physically demanding work in outdoor settings.
About You
Required:
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification or willingness to obtain it before the program starts.
- Documented experience working with youth or young adults (ages 14-18) as a teacher, mentor, leader, counselor, or coach.
- Experience in an educational environment or equivalent, with the ability to teach lessons and provide constructive feedback.
- Familiarity with outdoor skills, including hiking and camping.
- Experience in service project management and proper hand tool usage.
- A valid driver’s license with no major violations within the past 3 years.
- Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be 21 or older and a U.S. Citizen or legally able to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
- Experience with conservation or trail projects.
- Skills in carpentry, landscaping, or gardening.
