Karman Space & Defense is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Mill Machinist to join their manufacturing team in Huntington Beach, CA. The role involves operating and maintaining CNC lathe/milling machines and ensuring accurate production.
About the Role
As a 2nd Shift CNC Mill Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up jobs, selecting appropriate settings, and operating HAAS CNC lathes. Your daily tasks will include verifying your own work using precision measuring tools, reviewing drawings and blueprints, monitoring production, and performing machine maintenance. You will work independently and contribute to a safe and clean workstation while following safety practices.
About You
Required:
- Experience operating CNC mills/lathes is required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in math.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, speak and write in English.
Preferred:
- Conventional machining experience.
- Current or active security clearance.
- Understanding of GD&T.
- Machining training.
- Experience on HASS equipment.
- MasterCam experience.
- Machine setup and programming experience.
