About the Role
As an Academic Advisor, you will provide personalized academic advice, assist students in developing educational plans, and navigate university policies. You will collaborate with faculty and staff to support students, contribute to retention efforts, and participate in outreach activities. Essential duties include conducting individual and group advising, reviewing semester grades, and teaching first-year experience courses.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
Preferred:
- Experience working with College of Engineering and Computing and undeclared majors.
- Work experience in a university or college setting.
- Master's in academic advising, higher education administration, or related fields.
- Experience working with diverse students, including underrepresented minorities and first-generation students.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with tools such as Banner, uAchieve, and Student Success Collaborative.
