Inside Higher Ed is seeking an Academic HR Analyst for the School of Information at the University of California, Berkeley. The role involves managing various aspects of the academic personnel process and staff HR.
About the Role
As an Academic HR Analyst, you will coordinate contracts for the Unit 18 lecturer population, assist with staff hiring, manage academic advancement cases, provide guidance on academic personnel policies, and support faculty search committees. You will also handle visitor requests and counsel faculty on work-related issues, ensuring compliance with university policies.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations.
- Demonstrated organization, problem solving, and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to use business platforms like Google Workspace and MS Office.
- Ability to handle sensitive personnel information in compliance with established policies.
Preferred:
- Basic knowledge of I School and University policies governing academic HR.
- Knowledge of human resources management systems and related business software.
- Understanding of I School academic culture and educational goals.
