- Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
- Board certified in specialty or actively pursuing board certification
- Fellowship training in neurology or subspecialized interests
- Experience in teaching medical students or residents
