Clay is seeking an Account Executive (GTME - New Business) to join their team in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The role involves owning and closing net-new business while providing consultative sales to help prospects understand the value of Clay's offerings.
About the Role
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for prospecting target accounts, managing inbound leads, running tailored product evaluations, leading consultative discovery sessions, and building business cases to win budget and internal champions. You will work cross-functionally with various teams to shape solutions and contribute to the sales playbook and culture as the company scales.
About You
Required:
4+ years in a closing role (AE, senior AE, or sales leader) with a track record of carrying and exceeding quota.
Proven ability to build pipeline, not just manage it.
Experience closing new-logo deals in the $50K-$100K range with multiple stakeholders in a consultative, solutions-oriented selling motion.
High business IQ to quickly understand a company's GTM motion and identify where Clay creates value.
Strong communication skills.
Preferred:
Experience with a formal sales methodology.
Creative and resourceful in using AI tools.
