PubMatic is seeking an experienced Account Executive, Commerce Media to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves driving growth across their commerce and retail media business by selling audience and media solutions to shopper marketing agencies, CPG advertisers, and retail media buyers.
About the Role
As an Account Executive, Commerce Media, you will own the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing new business. You will drive revenue with shopper marketing agencies and CPG advertisers, build relationships within holding company commerce centers, and sell PubMatic's commerce media solutions. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining a pipeline of qualified opportunities and representing PubMatic as a trusted partner in client meetings.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in digital media, commerce media, or retail media sales.
- Proven success selling into shopper marketing agencies and/or directly to CPG advertisers.
- Existing relationships with buyers who actively purchase retail media and commerce audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience owning client relationships (not solely operating in an overlay or support role).
- Strong understanding of agency structures and commerce media budget planning.
- Confident communicator with a consultative selling approach.
