The Hartford is seeking an Account Manager - Global Specialty Inland Marine to join their team in Morristown, NJ. The role involves managing a book of business, focusing on service experience, retention, profitability, and growth.
About the Role
As an Account Manager, you will serve as a critical partner to the underwriting teams within the Wholesale Commercial Inland Marine organization. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Underwriter in the sales acquisition process, managing high volumes of transactions, and maintaining effective communication with agents and brokers. You will also be expected to stay current on industry trends and contribute to the overall success of the Commercial organization.
About You
Required:
Prior Commercial Market Insurance industry experience as an Account Manager (or similar) at a brokerage or carrier.
Functional knowledge of Commercial Lines rating experience.
Knowledge of primary insurance coverages: Workers Compensation, Auto, General Liability, Property.
Strong Customer Service and Relationship Building skills.
Effective Communication Skills / Written and Verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point Software.
Preferred:
Inland Marine Insurance experience.
Good Automation Skills and strong technical ability.
Ability to shift work efforts quickly and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
