Summary

Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (PacSci EMC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern for the Summer 2026 term. The role involves gaining hands-on experience in accounting and finance while assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks and financial reporting.

About the Role

As an Accounting Intern, you will assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, process accounts payable and receivable transactions, support month-end and quarter-end closing processes, input data into financial databases, prepare financial statements, perform research and analysis, help with tax filing preparations, and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

About You

Required:

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge is a plus).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual and regulatory requirements.

Preferred:

Planning to pursue CPA license.
Experience with accounting software such as Oracle or SAP.
