Summary
Bruce Markets is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves directing day-to-day accounting functions and acting as the Financial Operations Principal (FINOP) for the regulated Broker-Dealer.
About the Role
As the Accounting Manager, you will lead the daily and monthly accounting processes, prepare regulatory financial filings, manage accounts payable and receivable, develop internal controls, and present financial results to senior leadership. You will also engage with various departments to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of broker-dealer financial accounting and reporting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business; or equivalent years of experience.
- Series 27 - Financial and Operations Principal Certification (FINOP) with a clean U4.
Preferred:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and ability to perform technical accounting research.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and NetSuite.
