Oakmont Senior Living is seeking an Activity Assistant to join their team at Ivy Park in Huntington Beach, CA. The role involves assisting with organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities for residents to enhance their independence and quality of life.
About the Role
As an Activity Assistant, you will work part-time from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sunday to Tuesday. Your responsibilities will include creating a rewarding social atmosphere, promoting resident participation in activities, managing community volunteers, and ensuring a safe environment for all. You will also encourage teamwork and effective communication with residents, families, and staff.
About You
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires current Class C license, prefer Class B or Class C with Passenger Endorsement.
- Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs.
Preferred:
- One (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.
