About the Role
As an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages for acute injuries, infections, and illnesses. Your duties will include performing minor outpatient procedures, counseling patients and families, documenting medical histories, formulating treatment plans, prescribing medications, ordering lab tests, coordinating care with specialists, and maintaining quality of care standards. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a schedule of 10-hour shifts, totaling 16 shifts per month.
About You
Required:
- Must be a CALIFORNIA LICENSED Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, or PA-C).
- Active unrestricted license in California.
- Board Certified by ANCC, AANP, NCCPA.
- Current DEA certificate.
- Ability to work autonomously and without direct supervision.
- Previous experience in nursing, ideally in-patient and emergency room settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- NP or PA with ICU and/or OR experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, expected to round on 20 or more patients per day.
