About the Role
As an Assistant District Attorney in the Youth Justice Bureau, you will maintain a caseload of serious felony offenses, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, present cases to the Grand Jury, and engage with community organizations to support youth development. You will also handle a high volume of cases, ensure compliance with legal obligations, and represent the office at community events.
About You
Required:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant legal experience.
- U.S. Citizenship and New York State Residency required.
- Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated commitment to youth justice and trauma-informed prosecution.
- Familiarity with the juvenile justice system, including the Raise the Age statute.
- Grand Jury experience.
- Significant experience in hearing and trial proceedings.
