About the Role
As an Addiction Counselor, you will participate as a team member in providing ethical and compassionate care within a therapeutic environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting individual, group, and family counseling sessions, completing treatment plans, and educating clients and their support systems about recovery. You will also manage case responsibilities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
- Must qualify as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132.
- Illinois Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC) or licensed in Illinois as a LSW or LPC within 2 years of employment.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in conducting individual, family, and group counseling.
