About the Role
As an Adjunct Instructor of Japanese, you will be responsible for planning and teaching the JPST *240 Japanese Culture and Society class, evaluating students at least four times per semester, providing timely feedback, and communicating with the department chair and registrar's office as needed.
About You
Required:
- Master's degree or above in a field related to the class content.
- Pedagogical experience teaching the class content or related topics.
- Pedagogical experience and/or training in the modality of the course (in-person/hybrid/online).
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students.
Preferred:
- Experience with teaching Japanese or Japanese Studies topics that add to the current departmental offerings.
- Demonstrated excellence in both teaching and training in pedagogical methods.
