BioSpace is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves providing essential support to the Executive Assistant and contributing to the smooth daily operations of the team.
About the Role
As an Administrative Assistant, you will manage calendars, organize documents, coordinate events, and provide overall support to improve efficiency and productivity. Your responsibilities will include preparing correspondence, handling incoming calls, coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining confidential records, and supporting HR processes. You will also assist with laboratory compliance, project coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Required:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Science, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2–3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a laboratory, scientific, or regulated corporate environment.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Preferred:
Familiarity with laboratory operations, HR processes, compliance environments, or executive support.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm and effective under tight deadlines.
Project Management Professional Certification.
