Summary
Inside Higher Ed is seeking an Administrative Director for the Criminal Law & Justice Center at Berkeley Law. The role involves managing administrative services and operations for the center, which focuses on research, education, and advocacy in criminal law.
About the Role
As the Administrative Director, you will oversee various administrative functions including IT, facilities, contracts and grants, budgetary financial management, communications, events, and human resources. You will work closely with the Center Director to ensure the center's operations run smoothly and effectively, while also managing projects related to education, research, and advocacy.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols, and procedures for budget, accounting, and fund management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, and critical thinking.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).
Preferred:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with the criminal legal system and reform work.
- Experience with project management and facilitating communication in diverse coalitions.
