About the Role
As an Administrative Law Judge, you will be responsible for adjudicating cases involving traffic violations, fatal accidents, and violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. You will conduct hearings, prepare cases for review, and render decisions influenced by various laws and regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of legal principles and the ability to make sound judgments in a quasi-judicial setting.
About You
Required:
- Admission to the NYS bar and two years of post-licensure professional legal experience for Administrative Law Judge.
- 12 months as an Assistant Attorney 2 or equivalent legal experience for Assistant Administrative Law Judge.
Preferred:
- At least three years of experience as a New York State Attorney.
- Strong research and writing skills, excellent oral communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to learn new subject areas.
