About the Role
As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling individual and business tax return packages, organizing and electronically filing tax and financial documents, proofreading and formatting documents for accuracy, tracking document progress, and providing general administrative support. You will also assist with ad hoc tasks during busy periods and may need to work extended hours during tax season.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of office experience in an administrative or document-processing role.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Professional demeanor with a strong sense of confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in a public accounting or professional services firm.
- Familiarity with CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar tax/accounting software.
- Knowledge of general accounting and tax terminology.
- Experience assembling tax returns (individual and business).
