About the Role
As an Admission Specialist, you will be responsible for answering telephone inquiries, entering patient data into the system, performing intake evaluations, notifying units of pending admissions, and managing pre-admission processes. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient admissions and referrals, while also tending to the care and comfort needs of patients and their families.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in social work, psychology, nursing, or a related field.
- Previous clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric or substance abuse facility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Prior experience working as a NJ screener or in a psychiatric admissions department.
