About the Role
As an Advanced Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for airway maintenance, including intubation and tracheostomy tube changes, delivering bronchial hygiene therapy, and managing patients on mechanical ventilators. You will respond to emergencies, assess patient needs, and develop care plans with a multidisciplinary team. Your role will also include documenting procedures and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
About You
Required:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Basic Life Support - CPR Certification (BLS).
- 1+ years of critical care experience.
- Critical thinking and patient assessment skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Airway management skills, including endotracheal intubation.
- Ability to provide optimal respiratory support and manage mechanical ventilation.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Knowledge and skill to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Experience caring for patients in the Emergency Room.
- Knowledge for neonatal patient care.
- Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management.
