Summary
Honeywell is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to join their team in Pittsford, NY. The role involves developing cloud-based software solutions for security and access control systems.
About the Role
As an Advanced Software Engineer, you will participate in feature planning and design sessions, architect and implement software solutions, assist with test plans and documentation, and maintain those solutions. You will work within a full stack cross-functional delivery team to deliver incremental customer-facing features and develop robust multi-tenant cloud solutions.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics; significant technical experience can be substituted.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience developing modern web applications and/or cloud services.
- Expert knowledge of the JavaScript language and functional programming.
- Mastery of modern JavaScript frameworks and tools such as Node.js, React.js, and Webpack.
- Extensive experience building on RESTful web services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing web development experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and serverless architecture.
- Familiarity with continuous integration practices, unit testing, and automated integration testing.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, network security, automation tools, and system analysis.
- Experience building scalable solutions with zero-downtime deployment.
