Summary

Fiber Network Services Inc. is seeking an Aerial Groundhand to join their team in Salem, VA. The role involves assisting the Aerial crew with various tasks related to fiber optic and cable network services.

About the Role

As an Aerial Groundhand, you will be responsible for controlling traffic around work zones, cleaning and preparing construction sites, signaling equipment operators, reading plans and specifications, loading and unloading materials, measuring and marking areas for construction, digging trenches, tending to machinery, and erecting safety barricades. You will work closely with the Aerial crew to ensure efficient operations in the field.

About You

Required:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in underground construction for CATV telecommunications systems.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of relevant safety procedures in a construction setting.
Experience working in a Field environment.
Able to work in inclement weather.
Able to work with a flexible schedule.
Able to pass a DOT physical.
