About the Role

As an AI Specialist - Product and Applied Research, you will be responsible for developing algorithms, synthesizing requirements, coding deliverables, adapting machine learning methods for modern environments, and researching new techniques to enhance Meta's platforms. You will also gather data for training, train ranking models, and identify improvements in software and technology products.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
Experience in machine learning, NLP, reinforcement learning, deep learning, recommendation systems, or computer vision.
Proficiency in Java, C++, Perl, PHP, or Python.

Preferred:

PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
3+ years of experience as an Applied AI Research Scientist or Engineer.
Experience with scalable machine learning models in areas like crawling, indexing, or recommendations.
Experience with large scale model training and evaluating speech-based systems.
Experience in taking ideas from research to production.
First author publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences.
