Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Powerplant (FW) to join their team in Fallon, NV. The role involves performing maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting on assigned aircraft and components.
About the Role
As an Aircraft Mechanic-Powerplant, you will be responsible for maintaining aircraft power systems, performing operational tests, troubleshooting, and repairing components. You will also read and interpret technical documents and may be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three years’ experience in aircraft maintenance, with the last two years in military or government aviation maintenance.
- Experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and prevention.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required clearances and certifications.
- Valid State Driver’s License.
- Recent experience with F-18A-F, EA-18G, E-2C, MH-60S aircraft.
Preferred:
- High degree of expertise in aircraft systems.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance manuals and special tools.
- Familiarity with operational capabilities and limitations of aircraft systems.
- Customer-oriented approach.
- Cross-training capability into other specialties.
