Brillante Academy is seeking a Resource Special Education Teacher for Spring 2026 to join their team in Mission, TX. The role involves leading students with special needs to achieve their academic and social emotional goals as outlined in their Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
About the Role
As a Resource Special Education Teacher, you will cultivate a joyful learning environment, create and revise high-quality IEPs, teach a rigorous curriculum, facilitate student-centered meetings, build relationships with families, analyze student progress data, and ensure compliance with Special Education laws. This position is temporary, covering for a teacher on parental leave, with potential for full-time employment in the following school year.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree required.
Current Texas certification in Special Education and core content area required.
Preferred:
Teaching experience in a special education classroom with students who have significant disabilities strongly preferred.
Verbal and written fluency in Spanish a plus.
