About the Role
As an Animal Care Technician I, you will be responsible for performing animal husbandry duties to maintain the quality and health of research animals, including daily checks, providing food and water, cage changing, and recording health concerns. You will also maintain accurate records, assist with animal handling, use software for tracking, perform cage wash duties, and conduct quality assurance measures.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in animal or life sciences field with no experience required.
- Associate Degree in animal or life sciences field with 6 months experience in research animal care and husbandry.
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of experience in research animal care and husbandry preferred.
Preferred:
- AALAS Certification at the ALAT level within 12 months of employment.
