About the Role
As the Animal Collections Manager, you will advise and oversee a designated team to ensure exceptional animal care and compliance with regulations. You will mentor staff, collaborate with veterinary and education departments, and represent White Oak in external collaborations. Your responsibilities include managing daily husbandry, participating in strategic planning, and overseeing the design of animal habitats.
About You
Required:
- B.S. in Biology, Animal Science, or related field; M.S. preferred.
- Minimum of five years of animal care experience.
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in an AZA accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience working with Veterinarians and knowledge of common medical procedures.
