About the Role
As an Animal Control Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, collecting stray animals, issuing citations, investigating animal cruelty reports, and providing public education on animal care. The position requires effective communication with the public and handling conflict situations. You will work outdoors, often in varying weather conditions, and must maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
About You
Required:
High School diploma or GED.
One year of experience handling animals or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Knowledge of local, state, and federal animal control regulations.
Experience in animal care and humane treatment practices.
