Summary
RBC Bearings is seeking an Application Developer 1 to join their team in Simpsonville, SC. The role involves providing technical support for ERP systems and software applications.
About the Role
As an Application Developer 1, you will work under the direction of the Applications manager, providing technical support to resolve issues related to ERP systems and other software applications. Your responsibilities will include training users, coordinating IT service requests, liaising with third parties, implementing minor changes to ERP systems, and documenting the help desk request process. You will also support a 24 x 7 manufacturing environment.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or Associate's degree in an IT related field.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience; 1+ years with an Associate's degree.
- Expertise in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a client-centric environment.
- General knowledge of Windows Server (2016 and newer) operating system.
- High level of experience with desktop operating systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and research skills.
- Technical documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Visual Studio (VB.net / C#), RPG, Cobol, SQL.
- Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services.
- Experience with DevOps (Team Foundation Server).
- Understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including Networking, Security, TCP/IP, and DNS.
- Experience supporting Infor Syteline or SAP ERP systems.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries.
- Experience using an industry-standard ticketing system.
