Summary
Valence is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves securing products and platforms for Fortune 500 customers, ensuring compliance with security standards.
About the Role
As an Application Security Engineer, you will work closely with engineering teams to review code, architecture, and design, guiding features towards security. Your responsibilities will include manual pentesting, building security tooling, advising on infrastructure security, and assisting with client-facing security needs.
About You
Required:
- Proven experience securing products & platforms, collaborating with development teams.
- Strong expertise in application security: OWASP Top 10, threat modeling, code reviews, architecture design.
- Proficiency with AI tooling.
- Solid understanding of AI threats and adversarial testing.
- Familiarity with AWS and infrastructure security.
- Experience with incident response and SOC processes.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks: SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST.
Preferred:
- Comfortable writing and reviewing Python and TypeScript.
- Experience with enterprise security processes, such as security questionnaires and client calls.
