Summary
TGW Logistics is seeking an Applications Engineer II (M/F/D) to join their team in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves the technical application of TGW products and third-party equipment to complete mechanical system designs during the quotation phase of projects.
About the Role
As an Applications Engineer II, you will focus on medium complexity designs of mechatronic material handling layouts, maintain a thorough understanding of TGW's product portfolio, develop and present concepts to customers, support senior team members with larger projects, create mechanical costing quotations, and conduct system performance calculations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of applications engineering or related experience, preferably in a material handling environment.
- Strong proficiency in 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred:
- Experience with AutoCAD (2D CAD) and Sketchup.
