About the Role
As the Aquatics Manager, you will manage the recruitment, training, and supervision of lifeguards, enforce safety regulations, implement staff development initiatives, coordinate aquatic programs, and ensure compliance with safety standards. You will also assist in maintaining pool systems and serve on a rotating on-call schedule for beach/pool operations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Health Education, Physical Education, or Sports Management from an accredited college or university.
- One (1) year experience in an aquatic management position.
- Valid American Red Cross Open Water Lifeguard and Lifeguard Instructor Certifications or equivalent lifeguard training.
Preferred:
- Certified Pool Operator/Aquatic Facility Operator and Water Safety Instructor or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services.
