About the Role
As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for protecting patients, visitors, and employees by providing escorts, patrolling grounds, and eliminating safety hazards. You will deter vandalism and theft, enforce hospital policies, monitor activities via CCTV, and respond to emergencies. The role requires maintaining professionalism and adhering to safety protocols while supporting a positive customer service approach.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma required.
- Current Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) Certificate of completion or OPOTA Armed Security Officer Certificate.
- Valid Ohio driver's license.
Preferred:
- Associate and/or bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 1-2 years of law enforcement, criminal justice, or military training.
- I.A.H.S.S. Basic Training and Certification for Healthcare Security Officer within one year of hiring.
