About the Role
As an Armed Transportation Officer, you will perform duties related to the security and transport of detainees, enforce facility regulations, provide care and custody, and ensure the safety and order of the detention environment. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, conducting inspections, and completing necessary documentation while adhering to safety policies and procedures.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- One year of Military, Security, Law Enforcement, or Corrections experience.
- US citizenship or lawful permanent residency.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug tests.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid state driver's license or CDL if transporting over 16 passengers.
- Possess a valid armed security G license from the state of Florida.
Preferred:
- Ability to obtain a state security guard D license from the state of Florida.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.
- Proven ability to exercise good judgment and maintain composure in emergencies.
