Pathfinder is seeking an Art Specialist to join their team in Wabash, IN. The role involves using creativity and compassion to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through art.
About the Role
As an Art Specialist at Pathfinder, you will teach art skills, plan and lead art experiences, support individuals in building daily living and social skills, implement individualized support plans, and advocate for the rights and preferences of those you support. You will also ensure health and safety compliance, collaborate with team members, and contribute to a supportive environment that promotes inclusion and personal growth.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and safe driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements of the role.
Preferred:
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
Ability to teach and support meaningful art experiences.
Crisis prevention/intervention skills or willingness to obtain training.
