Summary
Ceres USA is seeking an Asset-Liability Management Actuary to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves leading and enhancing the ALM framework for Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuities (MYGAs) and Fixed Index Annuities (FIAs) while supporting financial soundness and product profitability.
About the Role
As an Asset-Liability Management Actuary, you will develop and maintain the ALM framework, build and run interest rate and credit stress scenarios, partner with Investments to optimize strategies, perform duration gap and convexity analysis, and collaborate with product development. You will also monitor capital requirements and support hedging strategy development, presenting findings to senior leadership.
About You
Required:
- FSA or near-FSA with 5+ years of actuarial experience in life/annuity insurance.
- Strong understanding of annuity products, particularly MYGA and FIA structures.
- Experience in ALM modeling tools (e.g., Moody’s AXIS, Polysystems, MG-ALFA).
- Familiarity with investment concepts including fixed income and derivatives.
- Knowledge of statutory, GAAP, and risk-based capital frameworks.
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL) a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience with private credit or customized investment portfolios.
- Exposure to index option pricing or hedging strategies.
- Self-starter with strong business acumen.
