Summary
AECOM is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager - Commercial Construction to join their project team in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves assisting the Project Management team with construction project administration and ensuring project completion within budget and compliance.
About the Role
As an Assistant Construction Project Manager, you will assist the Project Management team with various tasks including project administration, monitoring change orders, reviewing project costs and schedules, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will work closely with the Digital Technology team and interact with Superintendents to address project issues. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining document control systems and providing technical direction to subordinate managers.
About You
Required:
- BA/BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar curriculum.
- 2 years of commercial construction related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in commercial construction from a large general contractor.
- Experience in planning, coordinating, and overseeing phases of construction projects from inception to closeout.
- Experience with project documentation, including RFI, submittals, change orders, and contracts.
- Experience with project expenditures, cost forecasting, and reporting.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office Suite.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
