About the Role
As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing GL accounting, managing the financial close, and strengthening internal processes. You will support the preparation and review of clinical and preclinical R&D accruals, lead the SEC reporting process, maintain internal controls in compliance with SOX 404, oversee government and grant contracts, liaise with external auditors, and manage and develop staff in accounting and AP functions.
About You
Required:
- Several years of progressive accounting experience in clinical-stage life sciences.
- Technical expertise in SEC reporting including XBRL tagging.
- Experience driving the financial close including clinical/R&D accruals.
Preferred:
- Mix of public accounting and industry experience highly preferred.
- CPA license highly preferred.
- Experience leading and mentoring accounting teams.
