Acquire4Hire is seeking an Assistant for School Age to join their team in Converse, TX. The role involves supporting the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for school-age children.
About the Role
As an Assistant for School Age, you will assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational and recreational activities. Your responsibilities will include supervising children during various times, supporting their academic and social development, promoting positive behavior, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment. You will also build strong relationships with children and families, communicate effectively with the Lead Teacher, and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with school-age children in a structured setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow directions, adapt to changes, and take initiative when needed.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass background check and meet all licensing requirements.
Preferred:
- Coursework or certification in early childhood education or child development.
- CDA or Associates degree in child development.
