About the Role
As an Assistant Group Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that age-appropriate activities are implemented for youth in K-8th grades, providing supervision during field trips, transitions, and meal times, and building positive relationships with youth and adults. You will report to the Center Director and attend meetings with staff, parents, and community residents as needed.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma / GED OR 1 year experience working with children under 13 years of age.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong classroom management and behavior management skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred:
- Desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to complete DOHMH/DOE clearances and fingerprints including that an annual physical has been completed in the last year.
