About the Role
As an Assistant Planner - GIS Specialist, you will assist in preparing GIS/map data forms, managing the City's addressing database, operating and maintaining GIS data, performing quality control checks, and communicating with various stakeholders. You will also collect, analyze, and display geographically referenced information and perform spatial data analysis.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, GIS, Geography, or a closely related field.
- Three years of experience in GIS or one year of GIS experience plus two years of experience in planning, code enforcement, permitting, or plan review.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of and experience using Adobe Illustrator or related graphic software.
- Proficiency in software applications such as ArcMap, ArcGIS, Pro, R, FSUTMS (Cube Voyager, Trans CAD, VISSUM).
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Experience with analytics platforms and maintaining GIS databases.
