About the Role
As an Assistant Professor of Digital Animation, you will teach a range of undergraduate courses in the BFA in Digital Animation program and graduate courses in the MA in Art and Design. You will utilize both traditional and digital illustration techniques, mentor students, engage in creative and scholarly activities, and participate in departmental activities and committees.
About You
Required:
- An MFA degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Animation or Illustration, or a terminal degree in a related discipline.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suites and in software related to 2D and/or 3D Digital Animation.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in 2D and/or 3D animation production, interactivity, design, and technology.
Preferred:
- Industry experience and an established record of professional achievement.
- Teaching experience beyond graduate school.
- Online teaching experience.
- Familiarity with industry software such as Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Harmony, including Toon-Boom and Storyboard Pro.
- Expertise in a secondary area of specialization such as motion graphics, illustration, or sequential art.
