About the Role
As an Assistant Teacher, you will assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through active engagement, prepare classroom materials, supervise children, communicate with families about their child's progress, adhere to health and safety guidelines, and support daily care routines.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
- Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
- Works productively without supervision.
- Basic understanding of child development.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
- Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements.
