Summary
National MS Society is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Prospect Management & Research to lead AI-driven donor intelligence and pipeline development strategies supporting the organization's fundraising goals.
About the Role
Lead the design and implementation of a centralized, AI-powered prospect research strategy aligned with the organization's strategic plan; use advanced AI tools and predictive analytics to identify and prioritize high-net-worth prospects; partner with development leadership to align research insights with pipeline and revenue goals; build and maintain comprehensive donor and prospect profiles using CRM and external data; develop models to track donor trends and forecast giving potential; collaborate cross-functionally to integrate prospect research into donor engagement planning; produce data-rich reports and dashboards to support decision-making; identify opportunities for major gifts and institutional funding; translate research insights into actionable fundraising strategies; ensure data integrity, compliance, and confidentiality; continuously optimize research tools and AI applications.
About You
Required:
- 6+ years progressive experience in development, advancement services, or prospect research with strategic or leadership roles
- Expertise in donor and prospect identification, qualification, campaign pipeline, and strategic analysis
- Ability to mentor and collaborate across teams to align research insights with fundraising strategy
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed fundraising teams in hybrid and remote environments
- Skilled in innovative data strategies and tools for donor targeting and revenue generation
- Strong cross-functional collaboration integrating research with stewardship and development
- Advanced proficiency in CRM platforms including donor segmentation and pipeline reporting
- Expertise in AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics for prospect identification and fundraising decisions
- Proficient in data management best practices including data hygiene and reporting
- Exceptional project management and strategic planning skills under tight deadlines
