About the Role
As an Assistant Youth Mentor, you will be responsible for finding engaging ways to help kids learn, implementing child-centered and developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and maintaining a positive environment. You will also oversee classroom staff, manage behavior through positive reinforcement, and maintain accurate records.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent, or enrollment in 2+ years of child development coursework.
- 2+ years verified child care experience.
- Prior experience working with children (professional, volunteer, or familial).
- Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment.
- Ability to pass all relevant clearances and keep up to date on trainings including but not limited to 6 hours of child care related trainings annually.
