Summary
Obra Capital is seeking an Associate, Derivative Operations to join its New York office. The role involves supporting the firm's growing credit platform and operational support across equity derivatives.
About the Role
As an Associate in Derivative Operations, you will be responsible for end-to-end middle office operational support across equity derivatives, including options, futures, forwards, synthetics, ETFs, and related instruments. You will work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and internal teams to enhance reporting and operational workflows through data analysis and system optimization.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
- 3–6 years of relevant middle office or operations experience within an alternative asset manager, hedge fund, or investment management firm.
- Hands-on experience supporting equity derivative settlement, valuation, and administration.
Preferred:
- Exposure to structured credit products (e.g., CLOs, ABS, RMBS, CMBS).
- Experience working with portfolio and order management systems; Enfusion experience a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and financial market data platforms.
